Different color, and they apparently selected the Xenons that would bench the highest output levels. Not enough difference that you would notice it however... so yeah, it's basically just the case.

1/2 true. At first they were only available in Canada, but parts are exactly the same.

Go Canada !
So what's the average output of a 200.4 ? I just looked at my BC and it says 937 watts. Mine may not be a true Onyx, its the prototype one-off anodized version.

The handwritten amps I believe were all generic numbers. I have an original X200.4 and the handwritten sheet was exactly 937 also. Plus I've owned a Xenon or 10 and all the handwritten BC's all looked the same- penmanship/numbers. The anodized amp should be exactly the same as the rest of the Xenon's, IIRC.

If that is the one you got from HoseHead then it's a true Onyx and a damn fine one at that! That is a beautiful amp, I wish I would have picked that up when I had the chance!

It is and I believe its the only anodized one in existance. I'll be taking good care of it, the amp rack is being built soon and the 200.4 will be put to good use.

there were two runs of birth certificats on the xenon's
the initial ons with numbers from 610 - 622 were generic forms. the later versions (after PG fixed in house the initial manufactoring problems) came with birth sheets in the mid 800's
852 is one of the higher ones i have seen! kick ass!
