SILK SCREENING CUSTOM MS END PLATES

Post by 4EVER PG »

Hey I was wondering if anyone has a line on someone who does silk screening? I have a few custom colored PG MS end plates that need to be silk screened like the originals. Thanks

You can usually find silk screeners locally. I have a couple in my little town here in bum-fuck. The trick is getting the art work for it. The last time I had something screened I did my own artwork on CAD. maybe someone here already has something for that amp.

Or have someone scan you a good copy of it.

I'm going to do the same except I want to refinish a Ti1200.1. Problem is the case may be too big for the silk screening machine. I will find out after school ends which is soon.

Do it yourself. It is pretty easy, especially if you have to go to the trouble of doing the artwork yourself. One or 2 colors, like most of the phoenix gold stuff should be really simple. Here are some links, I have a bunch of amps to refinish, and I am either going to engrave the covers on my CNC if it is up and running, or try my hand at DIY silk screening.

That one is only one color, but it is the easiest instructions I have seen.

BRB with a few more links. Gotta look through my book marks.

And this one is a link to the more "official" process, with photo sensitive chemicals, the downfall is the PITA it is to set up, but the cool thing is, the screens will last for a long time, and this process gives you much more detail, since it is basically a photograph of the pattern.

**edit** for another one, lots of good info here, the most comprehensive I have seen. They also sell all of the stuff to do it :)
