My yellow top is giving out 15.23 V when the car is at idle.
Will this harm the amps in anyway?

Sounds to me like you have a voltage regulator problem with your alternator. What voltage does it have without the car running?

you may harm the battery at that high of voltage.. you really dont want to see it charging above 15.00v MAX, and if its over 15v at idle, then under load off idle is going to be even higher.. Any idea of how many amps its putting out?
i would get this checked out asap. last thing you wanna do is wreck your yellow top, or any other electrical equipnment in ur car..
I may be wrong, but i thought most pg amps will take up too 16v without a problem. But the rest of your cars electrical system definetly is not.

From what I understand as long as it doesn't go over 16v it should be fine. Missing Link even makes a module now to hook up between your alt. and batt. to up the voltage. They claim that it keeps your battery fully charged and won't fry any of the factory electrical components or computer. I know a few people who have it and they haven't done any damage (yet, at least). They all seem to love it.
