I have been getting the box ready and decided to quickly hook it up. I connected the vc's in parallel to a single X600.1. It didn't even move. I know this thing is power hungry and I have two X600.1's for it. I double checked the connections and they seemed OK. Is it that power hungry that the one amp woudn't even turn it on at all? Should even a little something have come out of it?

The sub should pound off of an X600.1. Check and double check that you haven't wired the voicecoils out of phase.

Phase is fine, I think it may not be getting good contact at the box terminal. I think I'll either put banana ends on the wire or if I can find ring terminals big enough I'll just attach them around the posts. I hope this is it.

with 600 watt on it there must come a bass out of it,amp settings ok?subsonic lp filter?are both coils same wired?this sub plays very good with 1200wrms and play´s fenomenal with two x1200.1 on it

every day when i´m driving and turn the volume open i still get a

I should run 1 12d instead of 2 and just wire both rsd1200s to the 1 12d, if the gain were adjusted properly, I bet it would blow my f-ing ears out. I know 1200 is alright on a 12d but I also know it can take an s-load more.

I re-wired to the other vc, and same thing. When I raise the gain all the way up and turn the x-over point to the 300hz, I get a very very faint sound. I even connected it to my X200.2 and same thing!


I'm thinking it's got to be the sub. I double, triple checked the wires. Even switched vc's.

HELP!! I may have to do an RSd instead.

what box you made for it?this sub plays from around 25hz to 80hz

The box is sealed about 1.4 cu. ft. Any idea why it may not be playing?

not that it would be the cause of your current problem, but are you only wiring one voice coil at a time!?

do you have a digital multi-meter to confirm the wiring inside the box?
was the rest of the system (amps) in place before the ti12d? i'm just trying to establish what we absolutely KNOW to be working properly so as to narrow the possibilities.

Sub is wired in parallel ( + to +) ( - to -) . Amps were already in place ( I just set the box w/ elite in back seat to test ) I know it's pulling juice becuase it blew the fuse even with nothing coming out of the sub when I played with the gains.

Before it comes up, it is NOT wired to the led.

If I have low voltage would this be the cause, even though everything works fine on my other sub and amps?

You mean just drop it in the hole of the Ti to test?

i wouldn't do that. don't cause yourself any more work than necessary. you can use any speaker, even free-air to test the amplifier and everything else up the signal path. if the driver works that would effectively isolate the problem to the ti12d or the wiring to it from the amp.

Everything has been in place before the installation of the sub. All I did was wired the new sub in the new box and ran speaker wire to the amp already in the back of my car.

do not have pics ,everything lay´s in my trunk ,i must make time free for installing everything properly,for me is the most important thing that it play´s loud and clear
and my 9m´s aren´t installed yet need to find an amp for it
would a mono amp good for it like for example an x1200.1 or x600.1?
or better a 2-channel or brigded 4-channel?
i was thinking for selling my x1200.1 and x200.2 and getting an reactor amp for my 9-5-1 compo?

Icy- you could always find a X200.4 for the 9/5/1 or just add another X200.2. But the X200.4 would match size with your two X1200.1's.

I bet it would be nice. I use 2 channels of a Ti500.4 for my 5-1 and run my 9m's off of a Ti600.2.

Brenz- I know you've dealt with the Ti elite anything else? I guess I will drop another sub in the box, it won't be sealed just wired and put in the hole for testing.

if you've already tested with another sub, there isn't much point in dropping another sub in the box you're using for your elite. a quick reading with a dmm is the easiest way to get more info. short of that, i would pull the sub to confirm wiring at the terminal on the box and triple-check the voice coil polarity. is the elite new?

Brand new. I bought it last March from PG direct, and it's been sitting in my closet ever since. May have drool, but that's it.

What do I do to test it with the DMM?

Humor me... Pull the sub, whip out your DMM, and test the impedance on each terminal. There should be two with a ~3 ohm load, and one with something else (LED terminal). If I recall from my old Elite... it is possible, with a recone, to get the terminals mixed up. You may be hooked up to the LED instead of a voicecoil, which may explain the weird load you are sensing.

So you think that maybe PG wired the sub wrong? According to the manual, the led terminal is south or on the bottom w/ logo facing up (legible). The led is not connected.

What do I set the DMM to? I will do this and also I've been using the same post on the box terminal. I will switch those next after I test it with the DMM. Could a little solder residue on the post affect it?
