What was the first amp that you owned that wasn't a piece of crap. Not necessairly high end but just not crap
Mine was a Pioneer GM-H120. Had it bridged to a pair of Pioneer 8's in my El Camino ... set up sounded pretty good
Had 1 in highschool, sold it and eventually rebought 2 of em again
My first piece fo crap system was a Jensen 150x2 amp pushing a set of Crunch 15's

In my first install I had a Kenwood Amps KAC823 running 10" subs (higher end Kenwood) and then I added a Kenwood PS100 and Boston Acoustic Pro Series Seperates to replace the deck powered Coxials. I had that system for 3 years. Since then its been nothing but Phoenix Gold amps except for a couple amps given to me.

I had a Mobile authority thump and and about 4 different 12's in all different boxes

but my first decent amp was a old school Hifonics Hawk , one of the best small amps made in my opinion , I still got it (broken) and I picked up a used one a few years back to asdd to the stash

Mine was an MTX 500D. The damn thing got hot enough to Bar-b-q on, but it did throw out the power. My first amp ever was some Sony pos that somehow I did not manage to kill.

My first set up was an xs2500 with an xmax 12" (that I still own and use).just kept adding to the system from there. Got a ZX500 from Cade, then switched to ZX series (one 500 per xmax, 450 for the fronts). HFront components were ID CD1pro minihorns. I miss those now that I have an EQ that can tame the horns.

My first ever amp was a LANZAR ?LRX200? It was mean, but would over heat and shut off all the time. Other then that it was a beast, loved it.....miss it
The 1st all around amp I had that was the sh!t was a Clarion APA4160, 40 X 4 @ 4 ohms. I had that amp pushing Clarion 5x7s up front on chs 1 and 2, and two 10" PG XS subs bridged to chs 3 and 4 at 2 ohms and it took every bit of abuse and never faultered.
I sold it to a friend of mine when I got my ZX450v2. He now knows to sell it back to me when time comes.

I had some barnyard systems, but the one that really kicked it off was the 2 JL 12W0's sealed powered by a USAcoustics 2150, JVC headunit..not sure which one, but it talked to me..said hello and the such..
I do remember when Crunch hit the Streets though ahh good ole' High School days in CA.

My first amp was....an alpine I forget the model #....worked great on my pair of Orion 10" Xtr's....
Then I got in a car accident and then that amp went bye bye....
Then I replaced it with something cheap to get me by. And then replace that one with an MTX SOmething rather...and that worked out well. Then got into PG gear after that.

RF punch 45 running two "ON SALE" coustic 10's........I think they were like $29 at the time........after that got jacked moved on to some Orion hcca's....225's one on comps and one on three JL 10w6's back in the late 80's those bastards weren't cheap. I am still a fan of the Old School Orion's.

XS2300 pushing two XS10d4 subs at 2 ohms a piece. Had the two tens sealed under the bench seat of my 88 standard cab Chevy Pickup.
Everytime the bass hit both the passenger and the driver would get a French Tickler.

Had a locally manufatured ICE 280 , 2 x 80rms got as hot as hell , even melted the solder on the board.
Still regarded in SA as a good amp. Designed by Zed I think when he was in South Africa, or the other dude who did the early hi-fonics stuff.
then had a range of stuff, Jensen, Star Sound , clarion, Alpine and finally bought my amp back in 2001. SOFAS

two punch 30's, one on 2- 6x9's and one 12, the other on two more 6x9's, fronts running off of deck. I have to laugh at it now, all that crap stuck in the back of an early CRX.
