k first of all i know i should do the BIG 3 but like this is a shit car that im using for one year and i dont have any like bat or alt upgrades or notihng.
i have 600rms mono amp class-d and i might put a cap on it just to stop the dimin because dimin lights is not cool (for all u ricers)
i wanna know if a 0.5 cap is good enough just to like work the way i want it to. i obvisouly aint expecting better performance cz iknow caps are the biggest waste of money ha... k well heres the breakdown..
i can get a 0.5 cap for real cheap brand new and i dont wanna spend money on a 1.0cap that cost more then double the price.. so any advice or experience. im just worried cz i know its 0.5=500rms so i dont want this cap to like downgrade my sound if anything unno.
hnx alot in advance.,,

CAP question (wanna save money)
Re: CAP question (wanna save money)
Why don't you just do the big 3? It essentially optimizes your alternator charging circuit for full output, & helps the return ground path from your amplifier to the battery.cornilion wrote:k first of all i know i should do the BIG 3 but like this is a shit car that im using for one year and i dont have any like bat or alt upgrades or notihng.

I would think it might be even cheaper than a cap. If you have done your own installs most of the time you would have small sections of wiring laying around, but even if you have to buy the wiring, I can't imagine being all that expensive. Its 2 short section of ground going from the battery to body and the engine to body, plus a wire to battery to alternator. Maybe the alternator wire could be a bit long because if the alternator is on the other side of the engine compartment.
A cap is going to be a band aid that probably won't fully solve your problem anyways.
