Out of curiosity, those MS, M, ZPA, ZX and their limited editions, does anyone still remember how much they retailed for ?

I paid somewhere around $750 for a ZX500 brand new in '96(ish)I bought several through their production years, and I think the lest I ever got one for was $599. I had four or five ZX500's at one point, and a couple of ZX450's. Both were in the same price range.
I remember in '96 or so one shop had a brand new old stock M100 (I think, it may have been an MS amp) for about $500.
I bought a Reactor brand new in late '98 and paid $1800 (I think) for it. Bought a MS1000TA in y2k and I am not going to disclose the cost because I bought it from my employer, a licensed dealer. It retailed I believe for $2k, but I could be mistaken.

I priced out M50 and M44 when they were new. The M50 was $399, the M44 $579. The amps I bought in the late 90's early 200's ZX450 was $799, ZX350 $599, ZX475ti $849.
I read the Outlaw $1300, and the Route 66 was $1066.
I used to have a Car Audio magazine around 1994 with a price list of all amplifier. Unfortunately the Magazines were tossed 5 years ago, during a cleaning project, I remember after tossing them I wanted to keep the 1994 price list (plus it also had Phoenix Gold M/MS period catalog as well in the magazine) Anyway the MS2125 & MS2250 (Equavent MPS amps) were all over $1K

CSRs prices where always way off in my experiances. CA&Es where always a lot closer. I've got all of the CA&E issues from 95 to date. I'll take a gander tomorrow.
ZX500/ZX450- $799, $50 more in black
ZPA0.3- $899, $50 more in white
ZPA0.5- $1099, $50 more in white
That's all I know off of the top of my head.

I personally don't think we need to hide info. Quailty Old School amplifiers were all expensive. I paid about $550 for Kenwood Amps in that time period. Looking back now, I should have bought a set of M25 Amps, I probably could have gotten for the same price.

I know these prices are listed in the magazines for that, but i know the retailers around where i live charged WAY more that that.. A new zx500 was 1100 bucks, same with a m100. special edition amps were extremely higher. A route 66 was over 2g as was the outlaw. I live in sask canada, if your wondering.

I am new to O/S PG. There is 1 BNIB MS1000TA in ebay by Andy now. I enquired for buy-it-now price and got quoted for $2.2 grand + shipping. I'm glad I joined this forum

MS 1000 TA are usually sold for $1,000...1,400 (also NIB's). Andy's and Joma's prices are good jokes.

I know exactly how you feel sean. The prices listed above seem like a deal compared to what we had to pay in Canada. I was in love with the MS and MPS amps back in the day but there was no way I could afford them. I settled for the M50 but it turned out to be a great amp too. I'd have to dig for my receipt but it ended up costing me about $700-$750.

I feel sorry for you guys, "back in the day" I bought a brand new grey MS-2125, paying only $800 from my local dealer. Sounds to me there was some serious mark up going on from less than honest dealers!

I paid $5.5K for my FAS in 2004.
But it came wrapped in a 1993 Super Coupe.

That shits crazy and I think part of the reason PG is owned by someone else now. Dont get me wrong. PG made some really great shit. It was really pricey though.
I looked into running PG and It was gonna be liek 2 grand for what I wanted. I was gifted 2 punch 200s and bought 2 more at a RF tent sale at a local sound off for 200 a pop.
MY car was freakin LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The PG and PPI guys hated my guts.

I feel your pain although I got a decent deal on my M50 ($550) I paid $600 for 1 of my used M100's and my 2125 was around the $1400 mark I am also in sask Where abouts are you.

I've only ever bought PG used but there definitely seems to be a Canadian markup on car audio gear across the board. Go into any audio/electronics shop in Canada and it's obvious.

The one shop here still has a brand new TI eq on the board and I beleive it has a $550 price tag on it.
