Help w/ box for RSdC102

Post by icehole »

Thanks in advance for any and all input and help.

Front stage is going to be a pair of RSd65CS's at 150w rms and I'm going to be running 600w rms to 1 RSdC102.

The sealed box I wanna build is 12x12x10 for a volume of .8ft^3 before the sub. I can't go much higher because of the shape of the trunk.

Thoughts...

Welcome to the forum mang. I don't have any experience with the sub myself, but I'm sure someone will chime in with some advice.

Lets see some pix of what it's going in!!!

Thanks for the welcome!!!

I don't have any pics on hand, but she's platinum silver over black leather & alcantara guts, lowered 20/15mm on stock chrome, and sparkling clean inside & out.

I would like to know how it sounds. I have 600rms and would like to try a rsdc10 to see how it compares to my Fi ssd10.

If I remember right someone on here had there's in a .5 cubic ft box.

.8 might be just a bit big from what i can tell from my limited experiance with it, and what i have heard. but honestly, at this point we are all still trying to get the right box dialed in on those. and even though software can give you a guess....nothing beats just trying it out! give .8 a shot at let us know!

my experience has been, with 2 seperate boxes on these, at least a cube per sub ported-both different boxes sounded phenominally accurtae, and if you have enough power, they also deliver spl- in my opinion the pg specs on these are wrong-go slightly bigger( .3-.7)

i built 2 boxes at .47 cu. ft. i dont have them in the car yet but they put out lots of bass in the house when i tested them, ran test tones an they sounded good down to 30 hz, im going to be doing some experimenting once i get the rest of the car ironed out, ill keep you postedImage
