BASS CUBE Question/Possibility

Here's the deal.. and bottom line what it is I would like to know is whether or not a bass cube has any additional advantages for me??
Reason/more details about this is that I have a Pioneer AVIC-Z1 with an MS2250 running my subs...
Reason for the apprehension is due to all the stuff the Z1 Head-Unit offers... i.e. the Z1 Has built in crossover (subs running anywhere between 50-125hz; with one of the pre-defined variables of 50, 80 and 125hz), Z1 also offers a Line driver type of output for each of the sources that are introduced to the system... Known as a Source Level Adjustment... allows you to adjust the volume level of each source compared to / based off of the FM Tuner Volume. In short it's like a line driver (i think), i'm sure it doesn't work technically the same as a line driver (but maybe), but does kinda net/provide simlliar end results as a line driver... Could find out with a meter though... it allows me to turn up the source level/output level going to amps on a source to source basis. ALSO the Z1 has an EQ of course, HPF (high pass filter),
So with all that being said.. ultimately my question is: Will I reep any benefits with introducing a bass cube to the system... I read what the bass cube does.. but I really dont have a sense of whether or not it will be beneficial for me to do so. I kinda feel as though it might/could be benefical/an improvement as the bass cube does stuff that the Z1 does not... right?
Please and thanks Guys!
