ideal volume for an rsd 10

OK so I know the Errin reccommended volume for an RSD 12 is 1.8 cubes sealed, what about the RSD 10? Also, if the Ideal volume were something like 1.5 cubes and I could only go as high as 1.2, would that be my best bet? (closest to ideal as possible?) I'm just trying to round out the sub with the RSD components- in my wife's Scion tC, she listens to very vocal music (she's a singer)
Thx as always guys!

Wow that thing take a freakin tiny enclosure. I am gonna do 1 12 or 1 10 soon. You guys like the 10s or 12s better?
I like that it takes so small an enclosure cuz i have a clean setup idea if I have space behind the Golf's rear seat. I think it would look pretty hot if I glassed in a 10 next to a 900.7 behind the rear seat back so when the hatch was open ud be staring right at a 10 or 12 next to a 900.7 glassed and angled so both are staring u right in the face.

its pretty amazing what different animals the 10 and 12 are. the 10 is very accurate and punchy, but the 12 is my favorite. it is also very punch and accurate and gets "shake your car apart" loud....but the box size...

Sounds great. I may have to stick with the 12 though if it gets shake your car apart loud. Reason is I only plan on doing 1 sub. Don't want to kill all of my cargo space.
So I see up top the thread author said Errin suggested 1.8 for the 12?
How would a sub sound firing upward if I installed it in a spare tire well? Could a spare tire well even be 1.8cf. Upward doesn't seem to me to be the best setup when I think about it but I figured I would ask. Then I could build a false floor and lose very little space except for maybe a bit of height...
Gosh it is hard being addicted to car audio...really hard...

This is coming from the person that eliminated an entire backseat for an awesome install?
"F" cargo space. Do it up right!

Haha, yeah but I am trying to be real about this car, I want it to be my everyday driver and be able to use it to the fullest...if I do a standard box back there, it will be boring but it would prob sound better than pointing upwards. The other car is my fun car : ).

How to save cargo space...
1.8 cubes for a 12, or
1.8 cubes for 3 10's.

that volume should be perfect for them. they are pretty awesome subs for the price. they have a ton of loudness potential, and are pretty quick and accuarate. the only downside is they dont play as deep as some.
