I recently reinstalled my ZX-450 after having it in storage for 6 years, and have heard through the grapevine that the caps need to be replaced on occassion. Is this something that I would notice if they needed replacing? If not, is this something that I should do anyway? Thanks for the hand guys! Mike

YES, change them. I don't think there's an audible difference but in time they leak. The leakage can cause them to catch fire.

Where does one source them?

Try mouser or digikey they are online dealers IIRC. Also search this forum and you will find how to's on finding the right value and instructions on replacing the caps themselves.

might not be a massive differance but if your caps are well and truly had it then it must effect the bass end of thing as the amp relies on the instant reserves to help reinforce the low end.
