Help with zx475ti!

I bought this amp from ELmx479 and hooked it up yesterday. I had it on for about 10-15 minutes while I was setting the gains with a DMM and double checking X-overs, etc.
I wake up this morning and start my truck to warm up. I am about to close the door to go back inside and all of the sudden I hear about a 60hz tone blaring out of my Mids and Midbass's. I tried to turn the volume down quick but ended up having to shut off the truck to get it to stop.
I quickly opened the rear door and folded the seat down to check the amp. At this point I could smell something which I originally thought was my midbass fried, but it's coming from the right side (power section) of the amp.
Is this something that could have been a problem before I received it and it is acting up again, or something completely new?
Just a background on my wiring/electrical. I had an Orion 4004 and a zx400ti in there previously with no problems. Also, my power and ground for both amps (subs & mids/highs) run through distros so I highly doubt it is/was a power issue.
Please help, I am really hoping I didn't get scammed on this amp.

I had that problem with my ZX475ti as well. I sent it back to PG and they replaced the crossover card.

How much did it cost? Does anybody here have one?

I swear I did not scam you or would I ever scam anyone because I know how it feels. Everything worked perfect on the amp. Did everything seem ok when you got it from UPS? This is how I had it in my truck..

Ya the problem you descibe wouldn't be something that comes and goes. Once fried always fried. If it worked for you the previous night then it was OK at that point. If it turns out to be the x-over card, it could've been something related to making the adjustments. It could even be a strand of wire got inside and shorted across something. I've seen that happen LOTS of times with the 'openess' of the PG amps. Not saying thats the problem or implying you were careless. Just trying to give some possible scenarios.

I didn't make any X-over adjustments after I powered it on last night though. I had it on for between 5 & 10 minutes and shut it off. This morning after about 5 seconds it did this.
I guess I need a new X-over board. Anybody got one or am I going to have to pay $125 from PG?

oddly enough, i think wakeup might have some.
he bought a whole box of different boards from an ex pg employee on craigslist. i know for a fact he has XS crossover boards. there was ALOT of
its definitely worth a PM.
does it still continue if you bypass the crossover?

I haven't tried bypassing the X-over. I have the fron channels on bypass and the rear on Low-pass.
I'll contact wakeup, thanks.

I had the amp on bypass because I use the crossover's in my head unit to run active.
If you can get the part from Wakeup let me know how much it is.

Man that really sucks. I feel like shit because of this. Is there anyone on here that can fix the amp? Or you have to send it to PG? Let me know.

The resistor themselves are an easy fix. I would guess the root cause is something else that burning out the reisitors though.

I contacted Wakeup, who in turn sent me to talk to Cecil (1moreamp). I f he doesn't have a replacement board I will have to send it in to PG.

I really don't think it's your fault, I was upset at first but I know things like this happen. Thanks for your concern.

PM sent. I believe we are local (midland, michigan) and I can take a stab at it for ya if you want.
Hell, if you are really in a yank to have it up and running, I will trade you my xover card out of my 500.4 and you will be up immediately, I will just fix your board when I have time.
Later tater,
Jason

How much would you want for it? If it's not the same one, someone else here might need it anyway.
