More Power questions

Okay so my roommate and I were discussing how to get the power I will need for my "complete" system when installed.
Going by the specifications I would need ~500A of power on a continuous basis. Now I only have my little S-10 4cyclinder 100A alternator currently with 1/0 between optimal yellow under the hood and two kinetik HC1800 in parallel in the back.
So my though was to do what the T15kW is doing by building my own capacitor bank with Nesscap 2.7V 360F capacitors (six in series by 20 in parallel or 120 of the buggers).
After reading all the material on the T15kW we concluded that it is just an A/B class amp that has a huge capacitor bank (it uses Nesscap 2.7V 400F caps or 180 of the monsters).
After arguing until 1:30 am my roommate said that is basically what I was already doing with the kinetik batteries and if I followed the same principals all I would have to do is upgrade my existing alternator to a ~200 A one. 100 for the stereo and 100 for the truck.
Any thoughts or arguments?
Thanks,
