hi all, first post on here, just getting my system sorted properly now, long time resident on various audio forums (waves at Marko)
I just wondered if you could all help me.
Firstly does anyone have any good shots of the frank black / purple pearl colour close up, if you could post them it would be great!
Also same for the M44, I need good shots of a mint one with the logos and also the silk screened writing (xovers, inputs, buttons etc etc)
All for a little project of mine which me and Marko discussed!
If you guys could help that woul be great!
Cheers in advance
Paul

Send me a PM tomorrow cuz it's late and I'm old and I forget lots and why are my pants all wet and.....
I'll take a 6Meg close up of Frank's paint.
I can also do an M44 for you.
These will be huge files - only one per Email for most servers....
I get first dibs on what you two be cooking....

Seen them pics marko, and from what I can gather without an [waynesworld] EXTREEEME CLOSEUP[/waynesworld] it looks to me like a gloss black 2k base with blue pearl with blue and purple flakes
Maybe just maybe this is going to be possible, and if it is, bring on a knackered m100 too - I'm thinking welder and a lot of effort
I'll look up tristans username on here when i get back from work, its going to be good this, i can feel it

- Just wish i'd seen a Frank amp in the flesh i'd be able to match it no probs then

I don't have my lens kit for EOS D1 with me today. These are done with a 16-35mm lens. I've reduced from about 2meg to post here. I will take additional pix with a proper close up lend tomorrow. Are these angles OK? The FAS is installed and it's really hard not to get glare.

just a thought but has anyone ever tried scanning an amp on a scanner/printer? you would have to do the lower decals in 2 bits though unless you have access to a bigger scanner!

I have an M50 cover scanned in. I sent it to someone last year.

Thats my idea marko hopefully, Just done a test with some cheapo transfer paper and an iron, it works a treat, with a coat of laquer over the top it will look awesome and hold it properly in place, that sucker aint coming off then.
I just need to find a better printer (using a cheapo inkjet at the moment and its not the best quality) My boss has a colour laser printer so we'll see how that works.
can you send me the full size images over to my email account please Mr Hosehead just showing resized ones in your post above
I'll be able to mix the frank colour now thankyou!!!! - Gloss black (flat) with general blue pearl, with a few different glitters, we'll it will be as near as dammit!

1. Because I doubt i'll be able to find one
2. If i do they will want silly money for it and postage from america is a lot, probably costing much more for the cover than it did for the amp
3. Wheres the fun in that
The idea is see how this works out and if it looks ok, i'll be making a custom case for an M44 and M100 to fit in the same case for my active 3 way front end!

just a thought paul, but i "may" be willing to sell my m100 minus the LE cover but with the old scratched cover.... it does need rail caps as you know but i would do this before selling it anyway!
i didn't really wanna sell it but i know it would be for a good cause

How much mate, the only problem i may have with it is that I wouldnt be able to anodise the heatsink on your m100 as its been filled, however a nice tranlucent purple may work with a pearl colour over the top.
Anyone wanna buy a PPI PCX 2200

i thought you would be painting the sinks as well as the tinware tbh!
as for price, i dunno, it's worth more than i paid for it but i don't like making money out of people i now
i'll keep looking out for one though but they seam to demand high premiums compared with m25/m50's

PM me what you'd want for it mate, i know what you got it for and what you've spent but i dont mind a premium mate, i'll be selling the PPI amp to go towards it so the heartache on the wallet may not be so much!

Just copy the picture (Jpeg) into FreeHand or Adobe iIllustrator and redo it all. Thats how I did the original 18 yrs ago
Helvetica is the font, by the way.
And I did it all on a MacSE with a 9 inch screen!

And we did do a couple TBA's and EQ232's just in case anyone wanted them for their Frank-Amp-N-stein systems. But not many for sure!!!
