Mono block question

hey guys..if i get a RSD600.1 monoblock it says its 650 RMS X1 Channel, now if run 2 subbs off that, is that bassically saying thateach sub will get roughly 300 watts?

would that be enough to run 2 xenon 10" subs X10D4..

i guess my real question is what amp do u recommend me using to run thos subs.?

thanks

yes, each sub would see half of the total power of the amp, but since you have the D4 versions, you would be running that amp at 4 ohms which would mean that amp would only be putting out about 450 watts. or about 225 per sub

that is still enough to get good sound out of them, but they wouldn't be able to get quite as loud as they would ultimately be capable off. you would probably be looking at about 3db difference if you had the x10d2's, and about 6 db's short of their maximum potential.

i thought you were running ZR10's?

the xenons are an odd sub. if you don't have some serious front stage you will have some gaps in music.

i agree. the rsd600.1 would be a little light for a pair of xenons even before you consider that your d4 subs aren't the optimal load for the amp.

an rsd1200.1 would give you significantly more power but you still wouldn't be taking advantage of all of the amp because of your voice coil configuration. if you want to provide the recommended power or more to the subs you should consider a xenon 1200.1.

honestly, you will probibly be much happier with the ZR's

im running 6 ti eleites sealed in fiberglass pods powered of a xenon 200.2....and still dont have enough midbass to keep up.

they also dont get nearly as loud. the have a efficancy rating of 83 iirc
