im helping my buddy hunt down a head unit...he wants one that can accept a zip drive, an ipod, and dvd player. I'm pretty sure that a usb port will handle the first two, but i dunno what jack is required to play the audio from a dvd player...im figuring it's gotta be one of the one that look like a headphone jack, but im not sure. Also, i dont think that every deck that has a usb port will play off a zip drive or sd card...if someone could help me out, that would be suweet! later dudes!

An (Iomega) zip drive? Are you serious? Do you maybe mean a USB stick/flash memory?
As for the iPod, one can either have an AUX-in (analog) and then use the headphone out on the iPod or one would have to get an "iPod compatible" unit, connecting to the digital port on the iPod. This likely won't be via a normal USB port, the HU will have to specifically support "iPod".

ROFL...i was thinking iomega drive too...
Here's what you want dude...
http://www.amazon.com/Kenwood-Excelon-K ... 364&sr=8-1
with this ipod adapter
http://www.amazon.com/Kenwood-KCA-iP200 ... 439&sr=1-6
lets you control and charge the ipod from the deck
you would want to mount both the female USB end from the deck and the male end from the ipod adapter somewhere you can reach them at.
you plug them together to use the ipod, or separate them and plug in a Flash (not zip

) drive to use the USB input.
