FAS freshening?

So, I've had my FAS for 16 years now, got one of the last two sold... Its been in 3-4 different cars, and the center has a small screw scuff, and the plexi is warped (from heat, and cracked around the screw holes...
The end caps look new, the screw down areas look new, I'd just like the center heat sink re done and the plexi replaced.
Is this do-able anymore at PG? Would they take it in and re-finish it, or are they done doing stuff like this? If they won't do it, who does re-work these days that the Phorum People trust?

I don't mind paying a fair amount of money to make my Frankie look new again. I got it for my 16th birthday, I'd like to give it a good 16th birthday present with a makeover.

Unfortunately PG doesn't refinish amps anymore
You can try emailing Phil at PG... pkoehn (a) rodinaudio (.) com... to see if there are any plexis available.
The first thing I would want to refurbish on an amp that old are the capacitors. At that age, they start leaking caustic fluids, and can even short out and cause your amp to burn up.

Wow good to know... can Phil do that if he can't make it look new? I'd like to be able to use it without it catching fire or blowing up... it worked last time I took it out of my car in Dec/07... its been sitting in a climate controlled storage unit since.

PG has a flat rate of repair on these amps. I'm sure you could get them to replace your caps for you under that rate. Phil is in charge of RMAs for repair work, so send him an email and inquire about what can be done

Indeed, I sent him an email before the last post I made.

Trying to see what can be done for my old fellow.

Dang, I guess it's time to look around. You don't want to part with yours do you?
