Hi gang,

its been awhile since i been active in any forum but especially this one

i pop in once in a while but i been really busy trying to get my self

squared away, im tired of my job and its effecting me in so many ways

im on the hunt and i will prevail out of this slump. the bright side is im

doing all right and my family is still taking priority over anything else.

i may not be here as much as before but i always pop in.

just wanna say hi to everyone.

now for those who remember i did an elite 12 in my lex with two ms2125s

i finally metered it yesterday and ill let the numbers do the talking

i may add that the frequencies are what i was looking for.

i was plying louder an octave lwer then some guys with larger woofers

here it goes
Gaby 142.3 / 37hz (PG Elite12, 2x PG MS2125 400x1)
Gaby 140.7 / 30hz (PG Elite12, 2x PG MS2125 400x1)
Gaby 132.0 / 26hz (PG Elite12, 2x PG MS2125 400x1)
Gaby 131.4 / 25hz (PG Elite12, 2x PG MS2125 400x1)

these are the scores posted frm our local forum put up by the shop who hosted the event..
oh and gabrielle is my daughter so i used her name since she couldnt come, she always joins me at events.

the low bass tonal response was impressive and I didnt think i would hit

this high on a term lab....

i wanna throw a sunzdown 3000 on the elite for some major burps..
but later..
the shop owner wants me to do another box with a re xxx 12 and the 3000

i may take him up on that..

for those that are new if u look under installs and go back a bit i have build pics of my enclosure just to have an idea of what went into the car.

well fam im gonna go to the beach and swim so ill be back..

many aloha to the oldtimers...including the ones who no longer frequent this forum

How come you only get 400x1 out of your ms2125 they are rated at 510 x 1 @ 4 ohms.

Yea you definately need more power on that elite, 2k or more would definately give you a much better number, and or possibly another box. Looking at the numbers, your box is tuned low, which is good for daily.. I would go with a better sub than the xxx if you want a really loud sub capable of ok sound daily. Get a fi btl, or an audioque hdc3. Both mentioned have much more potential.

okay
mybox is 4.0 cubic ft tuned at 30hz

i had no intention of this being a spl set up and i wanted to run less then
or around 1k

yeah theamps are rated at 510 per but

my sheet says 400 watts and thats what i entered it at.

my goal on this system was to generate the most spl with what i got

under 30 hz

this car hits lower and louder at the low end then the guy running the treo
18

yeah he was louder overall but that again wasnt what i wanted out of the system.

my system was the deepest sounding system there plain and simple

some systems were struggling to play the low end and i simply
did it well with a single 12

the car itself is completley sealed form front of woofer to rear other then the ports in the rear deck and some loose holes i need to plug.

i simply rolled in with out any tuning other then running a kinetic 2000 in the back for some extra juice..

also these were not burps either
i played these tracks for about 20 seconds at full tilt and then last 10 "cooled down the woofer"

did second run

after the show i did a third run at a higher freq

i downloaded a version of take my breath away from berlin..top gun soundtrack

that has some low bass thrown in it and it kicks ass......

i shut down a guy with a 15 and more power

my whole point on this system was
a. to shut up a bird on the lexus forums who said i couldnt get 5 cubic ft out of my trunk.
b. to show how durablae my 18 year old amps are
c. do hit low as hell and break 130 at 25hz. with a single 12 running less then or about 1k.

i had fun with it but its gonna come back out for a more reasonable system..maybe not i kinda like the low end and the looks on peoples face when they see a single 12 with three leds hitting low end...

aloha
