I've been using a zx500 on my boat to run 2 pairs of Polk Audio 6.75" speakers. The sound quality is amazing and they are super loud. I also have an M50 powering a pair of 12" soundstream SPL's. Problem is that I didn't have the zx500 mounted good enough and it came loose. I didn't notice until it was too late. The speakers stoped working and when I checked the amp it was hanging by the wires. I took it to a good friend of mine who is a professional tech and when He took it appart he found that there was a small nut floating around in the housing. He figures it shorted out something but he can't go any further without a schematic of the amp. Is it possible to aquire one?
In the mean time, I have a M100 sitting on the shelf and I'm thinking of using it to replace the Zx500 until it's fixed. I wonder how it would compare to the zx500?
zx500 schematic needed
Phoenix Gold will repair it for $130 Flat fee.

Or you could switch the M50 to your highs/mids and use the M100 for your sub.Hoser wrote:In the mean time, I have a M100 sitting on the shelf and I'm thinking of using it to replace the Zx500 until it's fixed. I wonder how it would compare to the zx500?
I thought about that but I'm not sure the M50 would be enough for the 4 speakers outdoors. I know it would be great quality but I need it very loud as well. I have to be able to hear the tunes over the motor while wakeboarding 80' behind the boat. The ZX500 rocked loud and clear and I don't want to step down at all if possible.
Kick ass service
Just got the amp back today. It wasn't even 2 weeks ago that I sent it to PG. Now that's service. I was expecting a C.O.D. to cover the return shipping but PG picked up the tab. I can't imagine any company having better support then PG does.
