I have just ordered a cyclone fresh and cleaned form PG

I was thinking to use the reactor with my line driver to the zx500 side with the outs going to the zx450 side bridged to run my 8" mid bass subs under my seats??
if not same deal with the zx850ti one side to the cyclone other side to the mid/bass
what is a good xover point on the cyclone?? I would like to hear from peole that have used one if I can

I don't personally have first hand experience with a Cyclone, but I do know that you don't need a lot of power to run the sub. However, take into account that it is an 8 ohm driver.
Did you end up getting the one I linked you?

The Cyclone has an 8 ohm VC and only requires 300 wrms (at the most). With that said, I'd used the ZX500.
They're to be crossed over at no higher then 60 Hz w/a minimum of a 24 dB/oct slope.
Don't expect this to be an SPL machine, or you'll be disappointed. Though it can hit the lower notes w.athuority.

I don't think it matters w/this sub, though personally I'd go w/deeper over wider.
Wife likes it that way too.

Shape doesn't matter, as long as it's not a cube (they create standing waves within the box). Either of those amps should be a perfect fit for it. I would personally use your zx850ti... cuz it's a BMW amp

A Cyclone only need 150 Watts 8 Ohms, so they recommend an amp with approx 300 watts @ 4 Ohms.
A ZX500 is overkill (600x1), I would use one side of the ZX450 bridge. I am going to use a M50.

the 600x1 is at 4ohms....so about 300 @ 8ohms

the zx500 / ti600.2 is what i would use.

i think it might actually be 300 @8ohms so anything in th 5-600watts @4 ohm range will do nicely, zx500, ms2125 etc.. in the owners manual it says any of their lower powered amps to like m50, ms275 etc..

Well I have had 2 working in an IB install for over a year... Yes both functional and they still are after someone writing off my car. I run them in parallel off an exile 600.2 in mono. Well I think the things are great low clean and most of all fast. Trouble is with conventional vc drivers to have alow fs you are limited to heavy cone mass. Cyclone does not have this problem. Also x-over points.. Well there has been loads wrote about this. I have dynaudio mw170's. I had the clones x-over at 80hz at 18db slope with no problems. I tried 24db at 63 or 80. But from a nice integrated phase I had hp/lp at 80hz at 18db. This sounded and worked the best. If the drivers coils aren't clean you will hear this at the upper end of 80hz's ish but if clean they will play lovely. Wel I hope this helps...

We found that at about 400 watts RMS, the "blades" would "shear" off.
Actually the tip of the blades would hit the bottom edge of the "ski slope" (If you've seen a cyclone you know what I mean)
It took us a long time to figure out that we didn't need that much power.
What we needed was an accelorometer and set it up with a dedicated amplifier with servo feedback.
Figured that out at a CES after we heard the single 12 inch Cyclone KILL the triple 18 Servos from Velodyne, on the same 007 movie demo we were both doing. Blew up our Cyclone, but it was worth it
Good thing we had backups!
