Hey guys, I bought a pair of RSDC102 10" 2 ohm DVC subs as a fill in until I can get my Polk SR's, and am debating how much power to put on these puppys. I can either leave my ZPA0.5 unclipped, delivering about 900 watts RMS to the pair, OR I can clip my monster and unleash a full 1500 watts RMS on these babys! What do you guys think is the best way to go? I would have bought the 4 ohm DVC's so I could run at a 4 ohm load, but the 2 ohmers where the only ones available at a reasonable price ($220 to the door). Either 450 RMS per driver or 750, opinions?

i think 450 would be adequate. start with that, then if you want more power, switch it up and see if it makes a difference. they are pretty damn efficient, so you you should be ok with 450 each.

If it wasn't NIB, i'd say clip it.
Were 4 ohm DVCs not available?

Nope, I couldnt find a set ANYWHERE! These were the only ones available NIB, and for $220 to my door I had to try them. I am pretty sure I will always be able to get $150 for them, so what the hell, I have made much, much worse investments of $70! LOL!
