Received a HUGE box on Thursday night, it looked like a stereo amp for a home... unpacked all of it to check the amps out and they look great! Can't wait to hook em up. They both look brand new besides the little bit of rust common for these amps. The amps are indeed HUGE, and they look small in the pictures. I didn't take any pics, and I wrapped em back up and tucked em away. I don't have my box or amp rack done yet, so it will be a few weeks before I use em. I'm going to run 1/2 active to my front Utopias, 1/2 active to the back speakers, and I maybe 1/2 active to another set of speakers in the kick panels (if I can find the Q-Forms for my car) :( The last 1/2 I'll run to my W7. I have a 1200.1 that would hit it harder, but I am going for a clean install, and a very clean SQ car. I think 500-600 watts on my W7 will sound plenty loud. I had a 1200.1 on a W7 before in another car, and I had to turn it down because it sounded too gangster. I don't want a bassy car, I just want the bass to keep up with the highs when I crank it up! If it sounds weak, I can always add the 1200 in there somewhere, but I want the trunk to just show off these new beauties.

Thanks again Tristan for letting me beg to buy them off you.

I would sooner run an offroad bridged to my comps, or fully active, than running a second pair of speakers. Especially when they are not mounted on the same plane, having additional sets of speakers up front will cause cancellations and lots of imaging and staging problems. Just don't do it. There's no reason besides bling to run multiple comp sets, since they will net you a 3dB gain at most.

Well I've done this in 3 cars now and it sounds fantastic... Just have to spend about 3-5 times longer tuning, but tuning to me is the fun part.
