Rusty Titanium 600.2

Moisture in the trunk has caused rust tracks on the case and fan baffle.
What are my options for repairing/refinishing it?

Is there a product or treatment that can stop it happening to my other titanium amps?

the only way to really do it right is to treat it like body work on a car. sand/grind it down to clean metal, then refinish with clear paint.

its a bitch, but if you have a belt sander you can make it look very smiler to stock.

i'm not really sure for preventative maintenance

I thought someone might know where I could buy a new case or maybe a good used case.

I previously bought a ti500.4 case for my zx475 but PG were out of 600.2 cases.

If I were to attempt to refinish mine how would I match the titanium colour.
The other problem would be reproducing the logos and calibrations.

I was put in contact with a silk screening company here in Australia that has the cad artwork and has previously rescreened some titanium amps for a custom install but they wanted $800 to do it.

crap...thats WAY too much. you could find 2 MINT ones for that.

you can make a post asking to buy a case in the for sale section.

short of that, you could have a vynil sticker of the logo made and see how that works?

They claim it's almost as much work to set up to do one unit as it is for a full production run which is more what the company is geared for.

Is the original finish just a tinted lacquer or some type of anodising?

ti amp finish

i refinished one and i think it is tinted.it is real hard to match the brushed steel finish. i found a paint match that is real close but i havnt found a reasonable silk screener around here.
