I have 2 pg cyclones the first one is stiff but when I put power to it it works but there is a little poping sound
it is not in a box so I wonder does this one need service?
the other one I just got it moves freely and when powered the same as the other there is no noise
again there is no box
they are both crossed over at 65 hz same deal just unplug one then plug the other one in
anyone that owns or uses one please let me know
how they are made to owrk
very little or some resistance when pusking on the vanes
thanks again
if it need to be clean can I do it???? or does it have to go to pg???

I don't think it's that easy. I beleive it'll also need a re-alignment and they coat it with something also. I'd send it back to PG but I live in Portland too.....

You really ought to post this in the general car audio forum. PG PEEPS (or what's left of them) won't ever see this thread here. You'll hit more people there anyways.
On a side note: there was a guy who made a post about servicing them a long while back......in the general car audio forum.

I did service mine a few years ago.
For that flat rate price at PG..... you just don't want to mess with it yourself...trust me!!
If you're not having the right tools , dissassembling, repairing and re- aligning is just impossible.
Don't take the chance of ruining it ,just to save a few bucks; that's my opinion.

Ya...to be honest, I tried to take mine apart and was having a hard time...I still havent messed with it much...so ya...I didnt know how hard to pull...and just was like hmmm....ya....not sure I wanna mess with it....
But I didnt spend alot of time on it...I am not as mechanically inclined as most of you guys...I just live car audio....and such!
