Does anyone know what type of power the M100 pushes out at 2 ohm Bridged. Thinking about purchasing a JL W6 and was wondering if it will push it?
Thanks

but might be pushing the envelope a little bit for sub/amp.. I would think you would want to get one of those fan shrouds I recently sold to bruce in CA

You definitely want to put fans on it, but I'm not sure that 2 ohm mono is recommended. I believe the maximum load is 4 ohms mono.

get two w6's and run it 2-ohm stereo... if you do not know where to get another w6...let me know i have one for sale. - 200+ship... may actually have three w6's for sale in short bit once i get the RSDC's put in and if i like them... not trying to jack thread or nuttin' but really should look at two W6's and run @ 2-ohm stereo.. I did for a short bit with my M100 with two W6's and whoollllyyy shiiiit! .. hard to tell diff between the M100 and MS2125 I had out for service for the day I ran the M100

It should be about the same power between the M100 and MS2125 anyways.
Just curious bruther but why not try an RSDC sub? Probably cheaper than the W6.

Running my M100 at 2 ohms mono (bridged) was likely what damaged it. I had problems with it (transistor failure) not long after I ran it in 2 ohms bridged. 2 ohms stereo is awesome though.

Just my $0.02....
I ran an M44 at 2 Ohm stereo off the front channels and 2 Ohm Bridged (actually closer to 1.8 Ohm bridged - Cerwin's had an odd impedance) off the rears day-in-and-day-out for almost a year with no negative side effects. Then switched to running the subs bridged off an M50 for about 6 months...again, no problems.
With that said, I always fanned the amps and always monitored their temperature very closely. Also, the M100 will not only get hot, it'll be very power-hungry. Make sure you're providing it with adequate power.
Overall though, I have to agree with the previous posters: 2 Ohm stereo would probably be the way to go; The M series will take on a 2 Ohm stereo load very happily.

Since no one actually answered,
the M100 makes about 520rms in a bridge 2 ohm load, it is not a problem to use the amp in this manner and will not damage it in any way , however it is advisable to runn fans on the amp.
It has a limiting power supply and was more built for 4 ohm bridge modes. But guys have been known to do 2 ohm loads on it.
Will it power ur woofer, I am sure it will be more then enough power.

Has anyone ever tried running 3 4ohm svc subs= 1.34 ohm on a m100 ?

this is how you want to destroy a very good amp......just don't even think about it....
2 ohms mono you can try, but you will need fan cooling........

power of my M100 after a bench test (after recapping and setting bias back right)
2 x 173 W rms at 4 ohms,
1 x 475 W rms at 4 ohms.
1 x 600 W rms at 2 ohms.
So it will be fine for one single W6 sub (about 600Wrms on 2x 4 ohms). that will give a good result.....
i would not hesitate to do that.....

Four years later I'd probably guess that he's tried it by now...
