ok, i think im going deaf???!!, anyways im running my front elite tweets off my ti 600.2(150 by2 @4 ohms), my front set of 6.5 elites and rear rear 6.5 elite mid are wired together to the two front channels of my ti 500.4(per specs that would be 125 by 2 @ 2ohm stereo), the midbass drivers are alive, btw they all get their signal from the mx3i-active,but once i turn my lpl more than halfway up , my rsd1200.1 over powers all, the gains on the rsd 1200.1 are set toZERO, no increase, and the subs receive their signal also from the sub out of the mx3i, and yes i did wire the tweets to the front of the 500.4, and the front mids to the rear of the 500.4 for 75 by 4( sounded great, but not enough power), wsooo- what is everyone else using , and how much power? thanks Christian

WOW. thats alot of power going to your elites. I was going to install mine today, but it started to rain. I'm just using the m50 part of my outlaw. But have been pondering the idea of using the m50 for my sub, and the m100 for my elite components.

Well, that's the point of the LPL. You turn it down so that it blends with the music.

I have 75 watts on my elites, and it blends just right with the 300 on my sub.

its weird, they seem to want lots of power, but when i ran the front 6.5s to the 600.2, they didnt like it, they sounded great off of 75 watts rms(ti 500.4 @ 4 ohm stereo), but are more alive at 125rms!! i think i may be going deaf:( murphys law, when i was younger i could barely afford a zx450 and zx350, now, almost 13 years later, its no big deal to buy 2 or 3 amps at once, but my hearing has lots of abuse  , also when i still used the passive xovers i just bridged the front set to the ti 500.4, but it lacked the depth of the midbass, till i went active- i wish i knew someone locally that used the chameleon image dynamiccs to hear them, then again i think about buying the rsd comps for the money u find them at on the bay-

My Elite6 set is being ran active via a ZX450v2 amp. So 150 watts per side.

I did at one point have the ZPA0.3 set at 225 watts per side using the passive XO of the Elites. They wanted more.

Eclipse CD8455 does the crossover duties.

Ti500.4 active to RSD 6.5 comps. So 150W per side.

Tweeters getting 110w/chnl
Mids getting 110w/chnl
Midbass getting 400w/chnl

Total 620w/chnl up front :P

I had the ti5's on the front of a ZX450, so 75 a side. Always got loud enough for me. Blended nice with the xmax off a ti100.2 (turned down obviously).

Now I am running it all off an octane 5.1. Not powering it enough at all, but at low volumes, it is way better than stock.

60 per tweet, 60 per mid. 240watts front stage (channel 5&6 not in use so another 120+ watts to spare on front stage), 120 watts sub woofer. :)

Agreed!

You should use the lpl to back the subs down to balance the system for your normal listening tastes and then, for those friday, after work, rides home, twist it for added pleasure!

Your balance of power is heavily weighted on the sub side. If your approach to this is to get the front stage to keep up with the sub section, then there is no choice but to add more up front. Although even I can't claim to have used a 600.2 for tweeters! (thats sick!)

Ultimately more drivers up front with the power needed spred out among several drivers would be a safer design then alot of power to single drivers. Then there is the issue of locating more drivers. ie: custom fabrication. And more equipment. More tuning. etc. etc.

ok , so ive kept the tweets on the 600.2, but went ahead and bridged the mids to the 500.4( keep in mind this is four 4 ohm 6.5s wired in parrell, and i think the front staging is much better, but am i running the 500.4 at a safe ohm load??, not sure if this would be considered 1ohm stereo , or lower? and ive cranked it up a few times, and aT LOW VOLUME THE TI 500.4 IS GETTING VERY HOT :x

So, is that 4 mids per side or 2 and 2?

At 4 mids per side wired as described that would be a 1 ohm load. On the 500.4 that wont go over to well being bridged to 1 ohm (by 2).

If it's 2 per side then it would be 2 ohms per bridged side in which case the 500.4 will be ok with.

i wired the front left and rear left together into one wire bridged to the front of the 500.4, then did the same for the front right/rear right and bridged to the rear of the 500.4???????

Yeah, that's 1 ohm alright. No good!

Run your rear speakers on deck power or something...
