Box help needed!!

Post by mr tibbs »

Allrighty all of you box gurus, I need some help. I'm going to glass a box into my spare tire well in the trunk of my car. I want to port it using aero port(s), but I'm unsure how much port I will need. Here is what I do know, my box size needs to be 2 cuft tuned to let's say around 28 hrz. Sub displacement is right close to .16 cuft.

Also, I know how to make the box, I just don't know how to figure the round port size. I plan on using these if necessary. Anyone up to helping??

i dont seem to know how to use iv very well, but on monday there is a good possibility that you will "find" a copy of bass box pro.

if you get the areo ports they usaully give you a recommnedation on how to change the length to work with your tuning

so if you need a port thats 12 inches long the areo port intructions
will tell you how to adjust that.
if you use bass box pro it will then give you the length needed.
You may have subs in your car........but my doors sound better!

See, I think I have everything but port size down. That would be cool if there was a chart that you could use to figure port size and length. That would kick ass!!

oh are u using the elbow? i didnt see that ealier

simple then. jsut measure the outside bend from hole to hole
do the same for the inner bend

so you should have two measurements, then add them up and devide by two and that is the actuall lenth of that elbow.
hope that is what you needed.

Not exactly, but that does help! I really didn't think about the elbow yet.
