thinking this might be a good option, plus iwant the eq an jl w6s for myself. what do you guys think? ...will be pushing 2 jbl (budget line) 12s in a ported box in a 93 jetta with 4 gauge an 1 farad cap

personally, I don't like Lanzar's low/mid line amps... I've heard their high end amps are really good in terms of SQ, but that's about it. I had a really really crappy lanzar vibe amp as my first system actually. Got the sub/amp/box/wires for $100 back then, lol.

That is no low/mid line amp. That is from when Lanzar was thier own company. Not Sound Around Co. (aka Pyrimid, Legacy, etc) like the Vibe Maka describes.
Those were kickass amps! Provided they work. They are probably 10 years old or more. Won MANY a trophies with those amps. Actually won our first IASCA World Championship with a car done in those series of amps.
I used 1 Opti 100 to run my entire 13 speaker passive system in 95.

$450 for all of that is a killer deal.
The Opti500's sell for that alone on ebay. Greg is right. Those amps are the shit. I can't convey to you just how good those amps are. If I had the money I'd go in on it w/you.
When we had a store that sold them back in '93 they held comps and would demo their power by using an Opti50c to arc weld coke cans. No joke. They made me a can that said 125 dB. That's what I was hitting back then w/2 12" LANZAR pro series subs off of a LANZAR LXR200 (that's their low line back then) which did 320 wrms X 1 @ 4 ohms in a '90 Beretta.
I just bought last summer an Opti150 for $35 in working condition. In my mind I stole it from him. He had the Opti460 he wanted $40 for and I wish now I would've grabbed that too.
Those amps are from '92-95, in '96-98 they changed the model numbers (same amps tho) the Opti500 became the Opti2500, '99 they started to decline and a few years after that they sold out.
A friend of mine still has his 12" pro subs that I will buy from him some day. That was my first ever system.
W/those three amps, that's a 3-way set up in glory form. 50 on the tweets, 100 on the mids, and the 500 on the sub/s. They not to over rated on their power as everyone believes, about 15%, but VERY and I mean VERY reliable amps.
I envy you for that deal.

The more I looked at that sale, the 50 is just that, 50w X 2, the 100Q I believe is a 25w X 4, and he states that that is a 2500, which is actually just a 500. Same amp, just different years. The 2500 would be newer.
