i know this sounds stupid coming from me, but heres the gist, i took my 2nd gel battery out yesterday, and threw a different sub amp in with a cap,( and yes by this am @ 13.9 volts thru all music, but im not gonna keep that sub amp in, im gonna put my rsd 1200.1 back in, after i pull the anl fuse out, ill still have power from the cap., so whats the safest way to hook my amp back up, without removing the cap.?, put ground in first, then power, or power wire(knowing ill see sparky briefly,)then ground? thanks guys , :?:

As long as it's within a short time, it may spark a little, but it won't be much, nor will it hurt anything. Just hook it up and go one your way.

Use a cheapo test light (incandescent bulb style, no circuit) to drain it off before reconnecting. You can then use the same test light to recharge it.

Test light across terminals to drain.

Test light inline with ground at cap and probe at battery, when the bulb goes dim/out cap is charged, connect to battery.

what if i fuse after the cap/before the amp, when i look at cap. instructions, it all shows fusing before the cap, which i have an anl fuse, which is disconnected right now, and ive hooked the ground and remote back up, the problem is the bore holes for the rsd are right on the money, its not like the ti where, u have enuff room to just slam 'er in real quick and crasnk down!
