Apparently that's rated at 12.5 as well... though no mention of any kind of standards. Probably not the best sounding amp, but that's a good lot of power... enough to do a whole system. I got my Ti900.7 for about $650 off of sounddomain though, and I can guarantee that is a hell of a lot better.

thats why you wont see the 6 channel set up I have go any where...

x100.2 and x200.4 will eat that for snack time. Your ti900.7 throw that thing down like college kid with a beer in his hand.

It looks "classy" and old school.

That stuff all looked pretty impressive until I went to realmofexcursion's amp guts page and actually looked at what's inside of those things...

Seriously, who holds a fucking light to PG in terms of circuit board design that's still in the same price range? (That's not rhetorical, I'm actually asking).

I look at all kinds of equipment that looks pretty sweet on paper and exterior pictures and then I see the guts shot... so disappointing :(

old adcom maybe....I'd hold brax and old zapco studios on the same level as PG.

but then look at the price of PG.....pg the clear winner

Ill say this tho....knowing what I know know from our good friend Cecil

there is only two amps I would even think about selling my MS amps for if price didn't matter.

1.) PG ZPA, basically beefed up MS amps but if it's not dual mono(which no one knows the answer too  )...then toss up really compared to pg ms Dual monos

2.)Brax, as it does claim to perform better in some areas, all custom part, but the real and only reason why, LIFETIME WARRANTY.

Arguments require a "why" for them to become anything more than subjective ;)

why # 1 look at the parts used and layout

why # 2 warenty

why # 3 you dont see that kind of craftsmanship in present PG anymore

do you need a Why # 4 ?

if SB was still up....you could find an argument onemoreamp put forth with all tech talk saying sinfoni and genesis were nto at the same level as PG.

AND he couldn;t find any reason why brax could justify a change from his ms pg amps

I would not say brax is way above pg at all.

Personally, I will never give Ben Milne one penny of my hard earned money. That boy would not hesitate to screw over his own mother. Truley a piece of (shitty) work.

in reference to older pg amps I hope not.....

as I you cant give brax the advantage in board lay out there, as IMO zpa is laid out better....warranty yes, but to be 100% honest, useless to people buying these amps as almost impossible to hurt them if you know what you are doing....craftsmanship is dead even there.

Old school Soundstream definitely, the newer stuff I have not had a chance to look at or evaluate though. Crossfire boards are pretty straightforward, clean design, although from what I have heard they are a house brand.

Your wasting your time if you try looking at their newer stuff. Soundstream went to crap a long time ago.

I was actually thinking about buying buying that amp to replace my x200.4 to run my whole system, but the 280 peak amp draw is a turn off.

I'm assuming that it pulls 125-150amps (@ 50% efficiency) at moderate listening levels - that's still a lot more then my alternator can handle.

Luckily its not out yet, I might have bought it.

I would love to chime in about the Brax vs PG debate, but I never had any experience with brax before - I wouldn't be surprised if its light years ahead of pg though.
