M100 power??

Post by seandiguer »

I just got a new car, well new to me..lol
Its a 1991 celica gts. It use to be an alpine demo car, so right now there are 10 alpine speakers in it, but the subs have been removed. I wanna ditch the alpine, and use my ti6 components in the front, and my rds 6.5 components in there rear, and use my outlaw and a m25 for power. The m50 for the front, m25 for rear, and m100 for subs.....

Now for my question. I do not have any subs yet. I was thinking of 4 rds10" subs, But would my m100 power 4? I have no plans of ever using the trunk/hatch of my car so i would like to fill it with subs.. Idealy i would love 2 15"s but i cant find any 15 pg subs anywhere.

The M100 has enough power to run 4 RSd10 svc woofers......Pretty well too.....

It might not be enough power for some people's standards but that's 40in's of woofer..... And it's a hatch right?????

It would be a 2 ohm mono load, so be prepared to put a fan on it.

Personally I would say two RSD comp 10's or 12's instead.

While the M100 "can" do a 2 ohm mono load... mine bit the dust while it was hooked up in 2 ohms mono. Now that I've been running it 2 ohms stereo it still kicks but doesn't get nearly as hot.

You'll most certainly want some cooling on it at 2 ohm mono.

I'm with Tom. Run two subs on that bay boy. I've got two RSd12 on mine right now and it's fantastic, although I am upgrading to two RSdC124 because I crave precision bass from the bottom end to where it blends with the midbasses.

If you want 15" subs, browse your local CL and what not, they do pop up still.
