5.25 comp questions

Just bought an 87 bmw for work. Factory speakers are 5.25's. Being that it is a work car and everything Im not really trying to spend a ton and the more I think about it I would also like to keep it stealth. The factory fronts are in the kicks. obviously they will need dampened but I was wondering if a single set of of components would be loud enough in the midbass area. I dont know much about the rsd components but they have a very nice price tag. I've aso been looking at a pair of the elite mid's and maybe running active if I can get away without rear fill. Ive never been a fan of rear fill but Ive never ran 5.25's. So i guess I am asking advice on weather to run a set of rsd comps and coax for rear fill or a set of elites active without any rear fill.

RSD components are awesome. Gobs of midbass out of the 6.5"... they play down to 60Hz very well. The 5.25's have more midbass than a lot of 6.5's, and can play down to 80Hz with gusto. I would definitely recommend RSD comp 5.25's.

The Xenon lineup had terrible midbass. The 6.5" barely had anything under 150Hz without being heavily deadened. This was a poor match to the Xenon subwoofers, which had nothing above 60Hz.

Rear fill depends on what you use the car for. Do you have people in the back ever? If not, why would you install rear fill? Why would you do it for RSD comps but not Elites?

skip on the xenon comps for sure. they are completely antiquated by the rsd's. anything the xenon's can do, the rsd's can do equal or better.

the rsd's continue to surprise me, pretty much every time i install a set i am impressed all over again. dont let the basic looks deceive you. they are a great speaker.

The only reason I considered rear fill with the Rsd's where the extra money I would have using them. The price is ridiculous. I've went over what i want to do for over a month. Even considered custom 6x9 kicks and a set of horns. But honesty, After hearing everyone's opinion of the rsdc woofers I have desided to do an all PG setup. I have been loyal to ID and intend on using their products down the line in another vehicle but i think I am going to use all rsd components in this vehicle. One factor is the cost honetly, but the main factor is their rave reviews from people so passionate about music and car audio on this site. Plus my best bro is die hard PG all the way.

Another couple questions. Is one 500.4 too much for the 5.25's active and is one 1200.1 enough for 2 rsdc12's. thanks for all the help.
