After reading various other topics i get the impression that the RSD line is really good. So good infact that people dont seem to have much to say about the Ti Elites or the Sub anymore.

How can a component set of RSD's that are like $80 on ebay be even remotely close to the $1000 Ti elites.

And that goes for the RSDc vs the Ti Elite Sub aswell ?

great questions, as i have used both ti 6.5&rsd6.5, the response out of the rsd 6.5s is amazing, espicially the rsdc subs; output is phenominal-the ti 6.5 sound better to me than the rsd 6.5- but even then at 80 bux they are nice, but (ti)require alot of power, i think, theyll run off of 75 watts rms, no problem, but seem more responsive between 150-250rms- i never had a chance to use the ti subs, so dont know- i bet they are power hungry, like my old diamond d6 10s( if u have a chance to get both sets of ti elites and comps do it-imho( that way u can compare for yourself, what matters most is YOUR EARS and what u like-

i run 2 RSDc 12" subs seeing about 700 watts each. i still can't wrap my silly head around how phenomenal they sound. i mean, i actually catch myself mouthing the words "holy $%*&" quite often.

The Elites used to be $300 on eBay as well, so it's not as big of a difference.

RSD components have stronger midbass, but the Elites beat them everywhere else. For the cash, the RSD components are impossible to beat.

RSD competition subwoofers are superb, but don't have the "presence" of an Elite woofer when you open the trunk. People see an Elite, and they know it's a bad ass sub. However, it does require nearly 1500 watts to sound it's best, whereas the RSDs perform regardless of power.

Just my 2 pesos.

I love my rsd65cs component speakers. I have turned a lot of my friends to the speakers because of how phoenominal they sound and the price. My dads boston acoustic pro60 and my rsd65cs are not that much of a difference. And he has a hell of a lot better equip than I do. But I was so in love with the Rsd65cs that I got a pair in the front and rear and also I am in the process of getting 2 rsdc12 inch subs in the back of my trunk. Then I will be in heaven. xenon 200.4 and xenon 1200.1 OH BABY IM SO EXCITED!!!! The rsdc12 sub rocks! I mean people always ask me "is that 2 twelves?" I say nope just one :) Just cant wait when I actually have 2 subs hahaha

funny, when i was @ old pg dealer in orlando on saturday, i put bass creations2 cd in, and they were BLOWN away @ their output, i run the 2 10dual 2ohm rsdc subs off the rsd 1200.1, and they came out when i pulled up & said it knocked a display over; they thought i was this guy who has 2 15s :D

I have 2 sets of TI6 elites (front & back) running off a X200.4 and let me just tell you, I have never, ever, ever heard such clean speakers and so loud. They do not produce any midbass, but I guess they were set up so you provide other means of getting the midbass (hence my TI9s).

As for the TI12Ds, I'm 50/50 on them. They're extremely clean sounding, too clean for me. I'm pushing 2500w RMS to 2 of them, and it feels like there are no subs in the car. It rather feels like the car's body is hooked up to the sound system and vibrates like all hell with the beat. I say too clean cause they integrate so well with the sound that you don't think it's loud enough and start damaging your ears.

I'm 50/50 on them mostly because they are really inefficient. They do sound crazy clean, but I had 2 Infinity Kappa Perfect 12Ds (non VQ) in my car, and those hit almost as hard with 600w RMS (300x2). If I had room for 4 of them, I would probably go with those at ~1200w over the TI12s at 2500w. Now, if I had about 4000w to the 2 TI12s, then forget about any other sub out there (or combination of subs)... I can't imagine anything hitting as clean and hard as these.

I hear yeah maka :D , but my ti 6.5s get more midbass out of em(active) with my ols zx450, then on a ti amp, jmho, but the ti amp seem better on the tweets(highs-end), mayb ill try hooking up the zx450 to the mids, and a ti justto the tweets

after a / b'ing a ti 12 vs a rsdc 12 (same box and powered off a xs2500)....i can tell you first hand the rsdc walks all over the ti 12 in EVERY way.

I think a lot of subs will walk all over the TI12 if you're only giving them 250 watts.

It's really made as a high end sub, which needs a high end amp, alternator, etc. Not really just plug and play with any amp typa thing.

I also think if your looking at something that is 8 years old vs something new you would hope there is more noise about the new item
just my .02
I will sell one or 2 of my ti elite if someone want/need one

Ti6es produce adequate midbass if they are sealed. How have you got yours installed? Any sound deadening?

The ti elite comps need some decent space, about .375 to generate nice midbass. I built some burn in boxes for mine and found that they were extreamly responsive in the low end @ 150wrms. I think i'm gonna built some home towers with them.

I don't have mine sealed at all... too much work. Hell, I don't even have the 9s sealed.

Sorry, meant the TI12D Elite, not the normal TI12s.
