07 Milan install,is my layout correctly?
If i where to build my audio system using all Phoenix Gold products do i have my layout correct if i'm using the factory headunit?I would take the signal out of my headunit into the SLD44 OEM ProLine Driver, come out of that into the TX406 Active Crossover, out of that into my two amps,a RSd500.4 for the front components and rear coaxials, and a RSd300.1 for my one 10" sub.Am i tracking correctly?I listen to Jazz and gospel music only.Should i add a cap into the equation?
Welcome to the phorum man.
That sounds like it will do just fine..... What are the sub, components and coax yer planning to use? You'd love the RSd line of speaks.

Those tender little burgers with them little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in ya mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one.. just makes me want to burn this muthafuka down.... Come on, Pookie, let's burn this muthafuka down!!!
You will do just fine with the 1/0 wire to your block and then 4 gauge to the amps. Just remember to find a GOOD ground (to the frame of the vehicle) the same size of your power wire 1/0. and dont forget to fuse your power at a max of 18" from your batt for safety.blake wrote:So since i'm running two amps,i should run 1/0 amplifier install kit into a two way 4 gauge distribution block right?
hold off on the cap to see if you need one but plan out where you will put one if you decide to install one late. this way you dont have to redo a lot of the wire routing.
You should be able to get that for far less than a grand.......

I have to say that warranties are a good thing but ya do pay for it. I'd say get the speaks, wire and deadning from ebay then.
Oh yeah.....Yer on the wrong side....... The WEST coast is the BEST coast..... and we have PG headquarters here in Ptown.

it will like thatblake wrote:Ya know i just saw that the RSdc104 runs at 600watts RMS,so instead of using the RSd300.1 i think i'm gonna go with the RSd600.1 to make sure i'm feeding the sub right.

I figure if i run the frame pieces that you see the full length from side to side,i can screw them into the humps on the ends or the sidewall using L-brackets..Then i would lay another piece of mdf on the bottom to make a floor to mount the amps on as you can see the fuel tank wiring in the picture,so i want to stay above that a little.I can router slits into the wood on the rail pieces there, but i still don't think it's tall enough to mount a normal mini fan under there.

I found some mini 12vdc cooling fans that measure 1 9/16" high x 3/4" thick. If i place two of these on both sides(two pulling air in,two pulling air out) i should be good right? Here is the link http://www.smcelectronics.com/fan.htm Fourth and fifth one down.
Maybe look for a DD5(long shot I know) to run them.

It's a PG piece that allows you to hook up accessories like eq's, lights and in this case, fans..... You can plug in +/-/remote into it or just +/- for fans........ I guess it's an awesome remote wire splitter to put it simple. The reason I say long shot is cuz nobody sells them out of their stash and PG nolonger produces them. (Even though they should cuz it's a kool piece.)
