If i where to build my audio system using all Phoenix Gold products do i have my layout correct if i'm using the factory headunit?I would take the signal out of my headunit into the SLD44 OEM ProLine Driver, come out of that into the TX406 Active Crossover, out of that into my two amps,a RSd500.4 for the front components and rear coaxials, and a RSd300.1 for my one 10" sub.Am i tracking correctly?I listen to Jazz and gospel music only.Should i add a cap into the equation?

Welcome to the phorum man.

That sounds like it will do just fine..... What are the sub, components and coax yer planning to use? You'd love the RSd line of speaks.

Thanks brotha.I was looking at RSd65cs' for the fronts',RSd6.5's for the rear doors and one RSdc104 or a RSd10 for the sub.

both sub should fit the bill nicly. and yes your signal path is good.

i dont think a cap would do anything for you in this case. spend the money on sound deadening for your front doors :)

So since i'm running two amps,i should run 1/0 amplifier install kit into a two way 4 gauge distribution block right?

You will do just fine with the 1/0 wire to your block and then 4 gauge to the amps. Just remember to find a GOOD ground (to the frame of the vehicle) the same size of your power wire 1/0. and dont forget to fuse your power at a max of 18" from your batt for safety.

hold off on the cap to see if you need one but plan out where you will put one if you decide to install one late. this way you dont have to redo a lot of the wire routing.

I plan on fusing the 1/0 right next to the battery. It comes with the waterproof fuse holder. This works out great my entire setup should only run me a grand..

You should be able to get that for far less than a grand.......

Where are you on this spinning rock?

Ya know i just saw that the RSdc104 runs at 600watts RMS,so instead of using the RSd300.1 i think i'm gonna go with the RSd600.1 to make sure i'm feeding the sub right.

I have to say that warranties are a good thing but ya do pay for it. I'd say get the speaks, wire and deadning from ebay then.

Oh yeah.....Yer on the wrong side....... The WEST coast is the BEST coast..... and we have PG headquarters here in Ptown.

I figure if i run the frame pieces that you see the full length from side to side,i can screw them into the humps on the ends or the sidewall using L-brackets..Then i would lay another piece of mdf on the bottom to make a floor to mount the amps on as you can see the fuel tank wiring in the picture,so i want to stay above that a little.I can router slits into the wood on the rail pieces there, but i still don't think it's tall enough to mount a normal mini fan under there.

Already went there Bfowler :D .I picked out a 1/0 wire kit,2 sets 4 channel rca cables,1 set of 2 channel rca's,,1-KND23 ground block,1-KNF12 Power Block, 6' 4awg power wire,6' of 4 awg ground,and 100' of 12 gauge Klear Kable Blue speaker wire.How's that?

sounds like you are set mang!

you might need a large crimper for the 1/0 ring terminals, or buy some of their set screw terminals...but you should good to go!

I found some mini 12vdc cooling fans that measure 1 9/16" high x 3/4" thick. If i place two of these on both sides(two pulling air in,two pulling air out) i should be good right? Here is the link http://www.smcelectronics.com/fan.htm Fourth and fifth one down.

that should be more then good enough!

are you familier with relays? you might power them with thier own fuse and relay from the distribution block

I was thinking of running a relay triggered by the remote wire pulling power from the distribution block..That way they would go on and off only with the head unit .

Maybe look for a DD5(long shot I know) to run them.

What is a DD5?

It's a PG piece that allows you to hook up accessories like eq's, lights and in this case, fans..... You can plug in +/-/remote into it or just +/- for fans........ I guess it's an awesome remote wire splitter to put it simple. The reason I say long shot is cuz nobody sells them out of their stash and PG nolonger produces them. (Even though they should cuz it's a kool piece.)

those are sweet but a expensive.

i think you got the right idea with the realy triggered by the remote on from the deck

Got an e-mail back from Phoenix Gold about authorized online retailers, and they said that SonixElectronix isn't an authorized dealer, but they sure do have alot of their stuff.Makes me wonder where they're filling their warehouse from.
