I have the RSD 65 components. What is the best amp to run them. Would you recommend PG amps? If so which one. I am interested in SQ.

Xenon 200.2 or 200.4

Any amp that is going to give them enough clean power. I run mine off of a xenon 200.2 and they sound great. Previously I had them running on a Ti 600.2, and before that the front channels of a zx475Ti. They like the power, but how much depends on how loud you want it to be.

I bought a Cadence amp for them. It has bout 80W rms. I haven't installed it yet. Should I just go ahead and see what it is like? Or am I wasting my time.

The perfect amp? Which ever amp that produces enough power (100W-150W should be great for most applicatios), cleanly amplifies and appeals to you the most.

I have a bridged M44 running my RSd6cs set and it's great. It's rated for 105W of power at 4 ohm bridged. I doubt the crossovers ever really see more than 75-80W.

I'm going to try active at some point, running it off the M44 using all four channels. We'll see how the lack of power-robbing xover will compare to the lower overall wattage that I can provide them with will do...

All suggestions so far are great.

The real answer? Any two or more channel PG amp that produces enough wattage for you, pretty much!

Edit: All power ratings I talk about are per channel

I personally like Cadence amps. I never had the RSDs, but from what everyone is saying, you might not have enough power at 80w RMS. Again, it's all up to you on how loud you want them to get. The more power also makes it sound cleaner imo, even if you don't use it all.

80 watts is more than enough to run them nicely.

Bridge a Tantrum 400.4 or use a 500.2.

Or drop the XOVer and drive active with a 400.4....

Small, powerful, and plenty of examples around at decent pricing ($130-150 or so).

just because people have been running x200.4 and 200.2's to them doesnt mean you need to by any means.

the rsd250.2 is plenty. anything over is fine, but dont think you NEED a ton of power for them
