Its right by where the fan wires connect to the vertical PCB.

there does appear to be resistor, of similar size, right under where the fan "connector" goes into the daughter board????

thanks roland-and tell Jim i said thanx again-i also asked him about the clear plexi windows that go inside the zx-i do have 2 ti xovers i dont use b/c i use active(mx3i crossover), and they do look like they may fit, but there are no screws on the zx , so would hotglue be suffeciant enuff to glue them in, or what do u guys rec.? thanks Christian(yeah thats where i thought the new resistor went, just wanted to be sure-

last 2 questions, 1 it appears that daughter board slides up and out of the socket?(kinda like a pc board) lastly does it matter whcih direction the resistor is soldered back in, is one side posi, the other negative? sorry, but thank you-Christian

ok i think i have the answer to the "which direction " the resistor should be placed in, i pulled out my dmm, and measured the old one in resistance, the top(solder-lead on board as u face it looking down is where i placed the posi probe, and the bottom the negi probe, it measured out @ 92-100ohm( knowing this old resistor is 90 ohm 2watt-then i measured out new resistor,50 ohm 1 watt, so now i know which direction to replace it back on the board-the posi, i believe will go to the top lead, and other end to bottom lead/b/c the resistance measured that way is close to its' resistance-CORRECT?

Resistors are not polarized, and the daughter board is soldered in. You can put the resistor in either way.

+1 to Jim
And for the windows we used cyanoacrylate 'super glue' type stuff. Scrape away any powder coat so its plex to metal contact.

thanx guys-yeah board looked like would snap out-and ofcourse i began to stick a small eyelass screwdriver down near its leads, and a little sparky, very briefly, so all is measuring out well, though, so hope its gonna fire up-ill check it 2morrow-thanx again-
