can you wire a 2ohm and 4ohm woofer together?

ya read da title.. a woofer im looking at is kinda hard to find.. so i was wondering if you could run (wire) a 2ohm woofer and a 4ohm woofer together for a 6 ohm load? thanks.

You could in theory, but the 2 ohm would be getting double the power compared to the 4. This makes it a no-no.

Why not run one sub? It's only a 3 decibel difference off of the same amp.

well im definately considering it.. the woofer in question is the boston G3. ive got a single vc that i got a hell of a deal on. but like on fleabay they seem to carry more of the dual vc if you can even find them then. but if i keep the car i have then i will only run a single, but if i end up with an suv id like to have 3 :shock: just so i could justify using my t1200.1 :lol: and that is because they're rated at 375rms a piece and my t1200.1 is benched at 1506 at 4.
