Pictures do not do this thing any justice. It is the biggest and baddest sub I have bought to date. Its probably round 60 pounds or so, and the motor babies that cd. Supposedly it sound pretty decent for daily applications, I guess we will see

Its rated for 1000, but it will take more than double that for daily usage. This is temporary. I will have more xenons coming later. I just need some bass, as I havent had a sub install in over 3 years

Also, I think a huge ported box, with 150ish square inches of port area will make up for the lack of power at this point.

Yeah, I hate it when they do that. DD does the same thing.
Otherwise that sub looks like the shiznit.

Here is what they had to say about the leads. The 18 pictured has 8 guage on it.
HDC3 DIRECT CONNECT LEAD WIRES=NO LEAD SLAP
High excursion subwoofers require a lead wire system that doesn’t flop all over the place or break. We use the direct connect system (no terminals) because it works the best. With our direct connect system you get no annoying lead slap noise, no ripped or holes burnt in the spiders and no flimsy lead in wires coming out of the cone to break or short out and burn into. You get no cheap terminals to break off or come loose. You do get 12 gauge lead wire easily connected by wire nuts or crimp connectors. You can also twist and tape the connections if you’re in a hurry.

As for the box it will be 5.7 cubes tuned to 38 hertz. DD subs like being tuned high, but they still maintain the lows somehow or another. They are designed different. The port opening will be 7 inches wide, and 10 inches long

Port area will be 136.5 square inches. Pictures will be coming as soon as its done.

This is just one of the many test boxes to come, so not worried about making it look pretty for now

Let me just say, that this thing is a monster. It laughs at the xenon amp. Needless to say its verrrrrry loud, and is actually a very musical sub. The lows are tremendous, as well as the 40-50 hertz region. Overall I am very pleased with this woofer.

Nope, no video yet. I want to get this xenon running at full capacity before I make a vid. In due time though
