xenon power issues
Does everyone else use both terminals for the 1200.1? I have both a 200.4, and a 1200.1, and they are both getting 4 guage wire thats less than 2 feet long from the distro, with 0 guage power wire. Anyways when setting the gains for my 1200.1, I was not able to get 138 volts at all. I was thinking I may need to use the other terminal.
I used an old test tone cd to set things up like I had in the past. square rooot of 1200 * 4 sub is a d2. Im guessing this thing is just a power hog.

You have to have the black DMM probe on the tip of the RCA point and then the red DMM probe on the outter jacket. or vice versa I can't remember how I did it but it red it. You might need a line driver maybe because I know that these xenons need a high input of voltage. My SLD-44 did the job right.

Yep.
Pull your RCAs out of your amp.
Play a 60Hz test tone from your HU and turn it up to just before it clips (usually around 80% or so but it varies so just turn it up to the max you'll ever want to turn it up to).
Use the DMM to measure voltage at the RCAs by touching one tip to the pin and one to the jacket, as already stated. I also forget the polarity but nothing a quick test won't figure out.
Xenons would like about 10V RMS when measured this way but they should be able to make max power with less.
After that, follow the normal amp gain setting method (which is very much the same).

I was gunna say that it looked a little high... Because I am running my xenon 1200.1 to push 2 rsdc124 subs and I think my rsd600.1 was 38 volts and xenons 69 volts. which makes sense...

Chiming in a bit late
I've got a Xenon 600.1 and when I first hooked it up, it really seemed to lack in power. Right now it seems to be doing okay, but from what I'm reading...providing more voltage to the signal would benefit my system, right? My Pioneer HU is producing 2 volts at the RCA's, I've got an SLD44 sitting in my garage that I was planning to use for my install in my Saturn Outlook (keeping factory HU). Should I use the SLD44 with my current set up to provide my Xenon amp more voltage at the signal or hold off and use it for integration into the factory sound system in the Outlook???
