pg ms1000 if that counts as one, is the most powerful production amp.

the mph10k by far the most, but not production amp.

MPH10k... if you count never released

MS1000... if you count limited editions

For standard amps it's a really close call between the following:

Any 1200.1, ZPA 0.5, and MS2250... pretty minor difference between them

So, was that a totally custom amp, or did it use an existing board? Sorry for all of the questions, I just became quite curious.

Thank you sir!! I now remember seeing that amp on SB, and a certain someone teasing the hell out of us!! So, it never had a power supply? So, that would make the MS1000 the most powerful amp that PG made I guess. Very interesting!!

The MPH10k WAS a working model. the power supply in it drew something retarded, like 400amps, so they took it out to make it more "car possible" and that never got of the ground. but technically, it WAS a working amp for a little while

Since we're some what on the topic, what is the model PG amp that was like 4" tall about 2.5' long and around 1.5' wide? Had Team Phoenix Gold on the Plexi and I want to think it had a fan shroud on it, that would be why it was so frekin big. I'm in the market for one, hopefully, in a month. It was before the ZX/ZPA line.

best i can tell you're describing the ms1000. it's the closest to the dimensions you posted and would have had the team pg logo on the plexi. but, the ms1000 didn't have a fan shroud. the ms2250 (half of the ms1000) had a fan shroud as a factory option.

what ever  if it never rolled off the factory line then at best it was a one off/proto.

the question was..."what was the most powerful amp the PG made"

they made a working MPH10K

even though it never went into production, it is still the most powerful amp they made

There's one for sell now on this forum w/o the fan shroud. The shroud will be extremely hard to find. But you could always make up something.

Thanks Tom. I'm going to inscribe that into my brain. It'll be a few weeks at best IF we can do (financaly) what we intend to do before I could get it. The shroud will be a must. There's just something about the look of it the first time I ever saw it. That was back when I was first introduced to PG and that amp was up on the board and dwarfed everything.
