hello everyone, this is my 1st post. I've always had phoenix gold products, and i refuse to use anything but phoenix gold ti. series amps in my vehicles. There may be something wrong with my amp now. Winter is approaching and every time i start my car, my subs hum. It doesn't matter what subs are hooked up to it, cause i've switched multiple speakers and configurations. It only happens in the winter time, and not in the summer. It'll go away when the amp warms up after about 5-10 min. Do i need to just send it in or is there something i can do to fix it? I have switched out amps, so it's not the wiring or RCA or the subs. It only happens with the phoenix gold amp that i currently have. it's the 400.2 ti. thanks in advance and i'm super psyched i found this forum.

There are a few electronic freaks here that will def. be able to get you off in the right direction.

Try rotating the crossover knob back and forth a few times and see if that helps it. I had a similar problem on my Ti 600.2, and that took care of it. The potentiometer gets dirty or something.

Oh, and welcome to the phorum.

Sounds to me like its a bad rca cable but i could be wrong but that would be the first place to check out

try running a different pair along the car and hook it up and see if there still a hum going on

might also be that the rca behind the radio isnt making that well of a contact too
