I'll give ya $25 right now for it......
last I saw one go in new'ish condition was about $250 locally, you may see close to $200 for this one on ebay.
$200 would be fair.

easily $200, i think, this has independent left and right gain, built in multiplier switch, unless u really need some crack, i wouldn't let that baby go! now, if u really smoke crack, please pardon my rudeness in advance-Christian

i don't want to sell it but i have to pay for the Tantrum 500.2 i just bought so i don't have to sleep in the shed...... or i could sell the 500.2 .. i got it for a good price... that's the only reason i got it ... never used one and don't know much about it

hook it up and see how she sounds; back in the day i had a hcca4225, running an entire system, i think it was down to 1/4 ohm load-so when i say i could fry an egg onit, that was no exaggeration-i just dont remember where it is???? i know its around here someplace-

Yeah , about $200 is the going rate on a R series, the one to own is the Digital Ref series, these were the bad boys of Orion.
but the amp looks clean and has all the bits needed, so $200 would be a fair price, I paid $250 for my 225MkII

The original HCCA's were prone to power supply burn up, they would literally work themselves to death. People would install them without a larger enough power cable and inadequate charging system, the amps would continue to draw juice until something would give out. I believe they did not have a low-voltage protection built in. The R version changed this but the power supply was no longer the brute that it was in the original, but there was less failed units.
I would say it is a toss up between the Tantrum 500.2 and the 225r in regard to output and clean power, I would say look at features and footprint to make the decision.
