Speaker terminal screws on ebay, claims PG's supplier...

Post by Jacampb2 »

Anyone else see this auction? Item #180313976208 He basically says that he ordered 1000 screws from PG's supplier, and is selling them for a absolutely ridiculous price. I have been searching for SEMS screws (actual type of screw this is) in bulk at a reasonable price. Gold plating is not 100% necessary, but would be nice. Anyhow, I have struck out pretty much everywhere...

So, how do you find PG's supplier? I would be happy to buy 1000 just to keep them around for when we gents need them. Let me know.

Jason

Yeah, I think most of us know about amplifierscrews.com, they are just another middle man. If one of us were to buy 1k or more of these, they shouldn't be more than a few cents a piece. It is ridiculous to pay a dollar or more per screw...

Honestly, I am surprised that it is this hard to find these things. They are not that unusual of a screw type, and besides that, nearly every car audio amp uses basically the same screw. Why there is some huge blanket of secrecy around them is beyond me...

The price of gold is up so that could also be a factor. Maybe one of our PG guys knows where to get them in bulk......? :hmm:
Those tender little burgers with them little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in ya mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one.. just makes me want to burn this muthafuka down.... Come on, Pookie, let's burn this muthafuka down!!!

yeah, right out of our garbage can. We throw out 8x per 4ch recycled. So we recycle them I suppose.... I'll tip the parts guy to think about selling them....

What I'm in need of is screws for the outer cases. The gold phillips head type for the M50 I'm hoping to repair after Xmas.

I'm holding out for a soldering station, hoping I get one for Xmas.

On that note, Tom told me at one point trace and soak, but If someone could PM me step by step instructions on how to/how you replaced part of the amp board, it would be greatly appriciated.
