Post by bruther »

Does anyone know the difference in quality of the new PG RCA cables vs the 900 or platinum series RCA?

ive seen pics of the new rcas, i dont even know if they are directional or not? in my experience, directional rcas have usually been a higher quality rca cable, and i believe that the older 900 series are directional, but im not 100 positive on that; i believe directional are considered better rcas b/c they have better shielding gaurding/blocking outside interference, but dont quote me 100 percent on that either- i currently use directional pg rcas, some of a teal green type color, some of a purple color-some of these rcas have a bullet type connector barrel, some do not, i even have a pair of , believe they were called the zero point series 20ft long, directional rcas from 1994-95, and the connectors are gold, and u MUSt unscrew them to disconnect them after hooked up-not sure this helps or not??

directional is done "correctly". Apparently noise rejection is much better if the shield is connected at one end only, and that's why you should use them the correct way around. I'll have to check which way it should be.
