Phoenix Gold Phorum

So I finally got it... This came out of the Earmark Car Audio Show van, a shop I used to work at... They sold a MS2125 and 2 275s as well, but I didn't need any of those. I wanted a clean 4 channel to run my front Utopias active.

So, I so happen to stumble upon this. It isn't as powerful as the MQ in my FAS (35 watts vs about 48 according to the spec sheets), but here is the kicker... This MQ puts out 35 watts at .0042 (approximately on the grid) where as my FAS front side puts out 48 @ .011... thats a TON of SQ difference. Little less sack, but damn with the SQ. Now I don't think I will hear a difference in that, but I can't see it being a bad thing!

This is the best spec I have ever seen on an amp. Should be plenty for an active setup. Im going to run my MS1000 to 2 12W7s, half to each sub, and a MS275 to the rear Utopias... front and rear power should be similar but more adjustment and a hell of a lot better SQ with this bad boy up front. Here are some pics, look how nice it looks! There is like 4 small blems on the entire amp, and the silkscreen/knobs are all perfect. If there is room, Im going to take the end caps off both the vocal amps and put them together.

I too use an MQ430 (inside a FAS) to drive qty 4 KEF KAR650 midwoofs.
More than enough nuts. Your chest will feel them.
Gains are set at about 55%. I'm an SQ dude though.

Thanks everyone, yea it was installed one time behind custom plexi in a show Astrovan, so I knew it hadn't seen fingerprints since the beginning...

I wish I coulda gotten the 2125 too and I'd have a white FAS, but I really didn't need it with the 5 2250s I have.

yes yes yes.. just got caught up a lil at work this week. The plexi sheets I ordered should/will be monday I think, then just need to do artwork up. Should be by end of week perhaps next week.
