Ti 475 overload ?
i have a question about my Ti475.
when being driven hard after aboout 1 1/2 minutes it goes into overload.
i have a panasonic HU, Ti475 for mids with MBQuart reference components in the front doors and MBQuarts reference coax's in the rear doors.input sens is just under half way with no bass boost at all.
i gave 4 guage running from the battery to the fuse dist block in the back and 6" of 8 ga to the amp.
do i just need to step up my power wire to 0 ga to the back and 4ga to the amp? or is there a problem with the amp?
it just started doing this this afternoon.

the THL red light inside the amp is coming on.VW337 wrote:Which light is actually coming on when it shuts off? THL or OVL?
If it is OVL check your speaker load and terminal voltage, you may have a failing battery, weakened connection in your power cable, or a failing sub(s).
its cuts the sound to all of my door speakers and after i turn it down for a sec it comes back on. it acts like the amp is over heating kinda but it doesnt just shut off it kinda fades out.
and i checked the fan after it came back on i turned it up again to about 3/4 volume (were it shut down last time) and looked at the fan and it was spinning but doenst push alot of air.
what is the best fan for replacment/upgrade for these amps?
With the THL light coming on it is definitely heat related.
Check your speaker loads make certain they are all within reason, you need a meter.
Hit the case with compressed air the heat trees on the FET's can be buggered up along with the fan, this can limit air flow.
If all else fails pull the fan and visit your local computer shop and pick up a matching replacement fan.

I think we've established that "Ka Ka" and "Tukki Tukki" don't work.
