I'm looking for a range of 80 to 1000, sub to ID horns.
Amazingly enough an Soundstream Reference 12 spec'd out to work as a midbass. Not that I could fit that thing in a door. But still amazing.
Anyway this Earthquake sub specs thinner than my current MB Q 6" mids in my doors now, and I'm looking for something that could hang with my ID horns. Anyone here have any idea if this speaker could work?
I was also looking at those Pioneer shallow 8" as well.
Thanks in advance

Would this work as a midbass speaker?
I wouldn't trust anything marketed as a subwoofer to produce good quality midrange. There may be some exceptions but I doubt this is one of them. Considering this is the frequency range where voices come from, I would want to make sure it has the best SQ.
You would be better off with a midrange that plays well into midbass, like the PG RSD component midrange, or the Image Dynamics Chameleons.

I'd say look into the Ti components. A pair of 9's and 5's might pair up nicely with the horns. And would match up with the 900.7 aswell.......
Those tender little burgers with them little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in ya mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one.. just makes me want to burn this muthafuka down.... Come on, Pookie, let's burn this muthafuka down!!!
Hmm... I wonder how well the 9M would do at 1kHz.FuzzyHoNutz wrote:I'd say look into the Ti components. A pair of 9's and 5's might pair up nicely with the horns. And would match up with the 900.7 aswell.......
I know the Morel equivalent is rated up to 3kHz. If you look at the PDF manual it seems like it would play nicely up to 1kHz.

But it is probably too big for your install... you have 6.5's, correct?
