Audio Control DQS and engine whine

I read about this somewhere but for the life of me can't find it. The AC-DQS I have is the cause of the engine whine that I hear. It stands out more now then before, only because I'm aware of it. It actually hasn't gotten worse.

I read that someone, so I thought, said you could put something across the +/- of the QDS or on the RCAs?? Can't remember. I have a power filter rated up to 15 amperes, but I will have to remove the whole back seat just to get to the back of the amprack to access to +/- section to install it.

Anybody have any ideas as to what it was that I thought someone was refering to? Something else I could do as a temp solution until it gets warmer out.

Check inside the unit... If it's anything like my other AC products, there should be a jumper for ground... shared, floating or 500 ohm if I recall correctly. Try the different positions to see if it fixes it.

Duh, I should've looked at the manual to see if there's one in there. Forgot all about it. Thanks T.

Just looked in the manual. There's a section called "Under the cover". I have a few options.

------------------------shipped/options
input ground----------Unbalanced/Balanced
Ground Isolation-----Isolated/200 ohms or ground
Choice of beverage--Micro-brew/Latte

I like that last one. Audio Control is cool like that. 8)

A switch my ass. I was looking all over for a switch. It was a damn jumper. Switched it to 200 ohm and vwala, no more whine.

That be what it was.

Yes you did, but the manual said switch. So naturally I was looking for a switch.
