Besides Phoenix Gold themselves, Does anyone know a good place to get my amp serviced. I bought it in 1999 and used it until 2005 when one day I turned on my stereo and I get nothing but engine whine and static coming out of the speakers. I have hooked up different amps to the same connections and the sounds are gone.

I think the RCA's are toast but I'm not sure. I still wish I had my XS system. It got stolen last year in May. XS2500 2 12" XS DVC Subs with a Pioneer Premier DEH-8MP. I loved thos subs, very clean sounding.

Thanks

Try turning your gain, crossover, etc. pots up and down a bit to see if you can get the sound to come back. Sometimes they get oxidized and cause static like you are hearing now.

Thanks for the advice stipud, it worked. I narrowed it down to the rear sensitivity dial/gain. It makes some noise when I turn it. What is the best way to clean the contacts so the noise doesn't happen anymore?

Unfortunately I don't think there's anything you can do but replace them. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

That was my thought also as the pots are encased.
